NFL GameDay 2001 is officially licensed by both the NFL and PLAYERS INC. This 3-D football game features all NFL teams, players, and stadiums, including Super Bowl teams from the past. For the ultimate in realism, players are scaled to their proper size, weight, and body style. In order to reproduce realistic onscreen movement, the development team used more than 1,100 position-specific motion-captured moves from 14 NFL players. The action moves at a rapid 60 frames per second. Animations include drag-downs, shoves, gang tackles, low- and high-wrap tackles, upending tackles, across-the-body "shoestring" catches, sideline "tiptoe" catches, and one-handed catches.The general manager mode enables you to play in multiple seasons as a coach, player, or general manager. The Draft War Room feature tracks your team's weaknesses, so that you can determine your needs better on draft day. There are four playing perspectives, plus a free-floating, TV-style presentation. In addition, famed sports announcers Dick Enberg and Phil Simms are aboard to provide expert commentary. Choose from four levels of difficulty: rookie, veteran, All-Pro, and Hall of Fame. NFL GameDay 2001 supports up to eight players with Multitap.

This was my first game and is a great selection for all nfl fans. Don't listen listen to anybody that says this game is bad because it's not and I love it. Everybody does have the right to an opinion.

a must have for all gameday fans,but for the other people,don't look for any thing real,anyway what video game ain't real,some people brains are starting to work,its a video game.i like how all the coaches look the same which is a bad thing. the Graphics are the only that looks good,the controls are the same as the others.the game rocks

What a fun game . me and little timmy play it all day. You must buy this one. As soon as timmy gets home from school he eats a pband j oatmeal pie and goes straight to the playstation 2 to play. One night we were going to dickey brennans restaraunt and we pluged in a tv in the back and we played while we ate. Buy this game its great. you feel like your in the game. That is why when Timmy plays it he puts on his pads and his helmet.

This game is ok madden is better but this is all right. For the first game on the ps2 for the gameday series it is a good game and a good game to make better wich they did
It's Not that Bad January 1, 2001
I bought the game because my friend suggested it to me. I think it is a good game because it gives you easier gameplay. Madden may have better graphics, but Gameday has easier passing and easier rushing. Besides, the hard hits make the game look cool. So, if you happen to find this game available at the local rental shop, give it a try. You may think Madden is better (which it probably is), but this game isn't bad.
